One day I feel nostalgic and remember this CD that I have not heard in years. I open the cupboard under the tv, kneel down and skim, better yet search, for that ancient CD. I am filled with joy once I see the colorful artwork on the CD case of the CD I was looking for, around the copious flow of other; at the moment, frivolous CDs. With anticipation I open the CD case to find out instead of the 'N sync album " No String Attached," ( don't judge) I find Vicente Fernandez "Classico Exitos," or something like that. All I can say is "fuuuuccckk," now my childhood memories will never live again thanks to ranchera/bolero music and someone not placing the CD where it belongs. I sometime ask myself why instead of being on a computer hearing music, go to bed and cuddle up with a CD that I love and jam it up with a CD player. Then I remember, "Ohh yeah," I cant find a damn CD in this house because they are all in the wrong cases. You may ask why don't I just invest money on a CD flip organizer for I no longer lose them since they make jewel cases irrelevant and you just need to put it in a translucent sleeve. Not only do I find that tacky but I like to keep the CD in the jewel case and see the artwork. Also not all CDs have the chronological order of lasered on the CD itself so if I forget I dont know what track to find my favorite song and I would have to keep opening the CD player if I wanted to check what other tracks are on the CD (unless you have a clear CD player). Thirdly, if I dont keep or lose the artwork because I no longer keep the jewel case if I want to resell the CD the value will be depreciated. I think the solution to not allow anyone to touch my collection of CDs or continually organize and make sure my CDs are in the right case or I can just continue to hear music online and say "fuck it" to the horrifying and disastrous pile of the missing CDs.
